Driving innovation with data with Bosch’s analytics transformation
We’re pleased to share a new customer success story featuring Bosch, and how they applied JMP with Six Sigma methodology to streamline production processes and improve product quality in their wiper systems production site in Belgium.

Video Summary
- Demonstrates use of JMP tools—DOE, control charts, trend analysis—to support Six Sigma projects in chemical processing and product development.
- Highlights JMP’s ability to accelerate data collection and analysis, enabling teams to focus on actionable insights.
- Showcases applications in cross-functionality: process optimization, batch production, and analytics within one "mini-factory" setting.
Key Takeaways
- Hands-on Six Sigma integration: JMP embeds seamlessly in DMAIC phases—helping to identify key variables, optimize processes, and monitor performance.
- Bosch gets value from JMP Marketplace add-in.
- Faster analysis cycles: Data collection and insight generation are significantly accelerated, freeing resources for problem-solving.
Return on Investment
- Time savings: Streamlined data workflows and faster analysis translate to quicker decision cycles and reduced cycle times.
- Quality improvements: Enhanced ability to detect process deviations early, reducing defects and increasing manufacturing yield.
- Cost avoidance: More efficient batch production means lower scrap rates, reduced rework, and optimized resource use.
Customer Quotes
Marjoleine Wevers, Senior Process Development Engineer, Bosch:
- “The nice thing about the Six Sigma methodology is actually that it is a statistical methodology, especially in combination with JMP, it doesn't use the gut feeling. It really looks at the data and how to improve it. Now in the Marketplace, you have the Six Sigma add-in; you don't need to look for it anymore. You just go to one place, and you can click on it. So it makes it very fast.”
- “The project I did as a Black Belt project was another type of Six Sigma project where we defined a new measuring method. And by doing that, we could reduce the lead time for finding a new compound from eight months to one and a half months.”

What excites me most is that she highlighted the Modern Six Sigma Add-in, developed by Kim Hui with my support. We're incredibly proud of this collaboration!
Both of us have shared it on LinkedIn to promote how JMP empowers Modern Six Sigma practices. A series of Modern Six Sigma webinars — in both English and Chinese — is already scheduled to kick off in January 2026. Stay tuned!
Re: New Customer Success story: Bosch implements Six Sigma with JMPAnd here I was under the impression Six Sigma is fading. Way to go! Bosch wipers, tools, and dishwashers :lovey_eyes_emoji:
Re: New Customer Success story: Bosch implements Six Sigma with JMP@russ_wolfinger with JMP, Six Sigma becomes an old bottle with new wine! Err wait... maybe it's an old bottle with old wine.... like a well-aged cab. you get the idea.
@PIN thank you for sharing -- It looks like Modern Six Sigma is right up there in the top 5 most-downloaded from the JMP Marketplace right now.
Nice integration of Scott's Capability Explorer Add-In too!
Re: New Customer Success story: Bosch implements Six Sigma with JMP @russ_wolfinger While AI is trending, Six Sigma is definitely not fading — especially in Asia, where heavy industry and manufacturing still remain strong.
@PatrickGiuliano Yup, you got the idea, an old bottle (Six Sigma) with new wine (Modern JMP features), That’s why I emphasize ‘dissolving’ JMP into the Six Sigma framework, using the familiar DMAIC language to speak about modern JMP capabilities.
Thank you all for this nice sharing, motivating us to do more around Modern Six Sigma using JMP !
