In order to guarantee the quality of the product with high reliability, it is necessary to sufficiently grasp the accuracy of the measuring instrument.Speaking of measurement accuracy evaluation, Gauge R & R is a typical method, but our company uses the EMP method proposed by Dr. Donald J. Wheeler as a standard method.
JMP supports the EMP method in the MSA platform from version 10, and can perform basic analysis together with the Gauge R & R method.However, some of these representative indicators are largely influenced by the samples to be measured, and interpretation of the results should be careful.In addition, the experimental design of the measurement accuracy evaluation is based on repeated brute force experiments.Although you can plan from the custom plan of the DOE platform, the procedure is a bit complicated.In order to solve these problems, we developed and used add-in for engineers to easily plan and analyze EMP.
In this presentation, we present examples of three points: (1) outline of measurement accuracy evaluation by EMP method, Gauge R & R method, (2) interpretation of experimental plan and results of measurement accuracy evaluation using JMP, and (3) add-in for engineers to easily perform them I will explain it together.
