What inspired this Wish List Request? Currently it's possible to remove either the top or the bottom chart in Control Chart Builder if one would like to do so using a right click menu option over the Y axis, for example:
This can be useful for reducing the amount of information for the audience, but it an also be useful as part of an interactive work-flow to allow for the rescaling of all charts to the same axis settings for charts that are open in a single CC-Builder report window.
Please describe the new or improved feature or solution you would like to see. What if it were possible to "add back" a chart once it has been removed? For example, in the case of a bunch of Individual and Moving Range Charts -- this would allow for the user to:
1. With control held down, Right-Click Y-Axis > Remove to remove the Moving Range Chart from all charts.
2. Copy Axis settings from one chart, then Control+ Paste Axis settings to broadcast them to every Individuals Chart.
3. Control + Right Click Y-Axis > Add to "add back" all the Moving Range Charts.
The same interactive work-flow could be used for applying the exact same axis scales to all Moving Range Charts without affecting the scale of the Individuals Charts.
What would the value be to you and/or other users if this new feature is provided? Broadcasting Axis settings using Copy Axis Settings then Control + Paste Axis settings gets ugly in CC-Builder interactively since the same axis settings will be applied to both the Top and Bottom Charts when this action is performed. Having a right Click "Add" option after Right Click "Remove" would allow for this interactive work-flow to still be utilized, by allowing for separate rescaling of all the Top Charts, then all the Bottom Charts (or vice versa).
- Currently the only way to change the scale in aggregate on the Top Chart is to use the Set Property() object in JSL (or remove the bottom charts first using Control + Right Click Y-Axis > Remove > [bottom] chart.
- There is no way adjust all of the Bottom Charts to be the same through a Column Property (using a JSL expression).

This feature enhances usability of Control Chart builder e.g. when a user has multiple charts plotted using the By Role in an open CC-Builder report window, which is a common scenario or many of our customers. Axis scaling ends up being hugely important for legible and interpretable data presentation (e.g. either to senior management or inside internal validation reports that are subject to review by key internal and external stakeholders, sometimes regulatory agencies). The user can do this manually on every chart but will save time and enjoy the efficiency of JMP's dynamic interactive approach by having this option available.
