Today, we're excited to introduce you to Gary Catalfu, the manager of the JMP Engagement Team (JET).
On the job
Gary leads the JMP Engagement Team, which serves as the primary point of contact for customers and prospects interacting with JMP. "The Engagement team collaborates with other customer-facing organizations to ensure that a consistent message is clearly communicated to our customers," Gary explained.
Having recently transitioned to JMP after 23 years at the SAS Customer Engagement Center, Gary is quickly immersing himself in JMP's processes and systems, actively looking for improvements. "I’ve been assisting with cases, questions about cases, and seeing where we can make improvements for our team," he said.
His extensive background in technology and customer engagement makes him a perfect fit for his new role. "I started my journey into technology shortly after graduating from college," Gary said. "I held various roles within the SAS Customer Engagement Center, which supported JMP prior to the JET, so I am very familiar with all aspects of an Engagement Center. I helped grow the

Gary’s wealth of experience is invaluable as he helps grow the JMP Engagement team.
For those just starting in his field, Gary advises, "Make connections and take in as much as you can. Be curious and ask questions."
As a representative of the JMP brand, Gary identifies strongly with being Helpful and Approachable. "I love to help everybody if I can, whether it’s external or internal contacts,” he said. “If I don’t know the answer, I can typically direct them to the correct person."
On the side
Outside of work, Gary is a dedicated sports enthusiast. "Being from Buffalo, NY, I am a huge Buffalo Bills fan," he proudly shared. "If you come by my office, it is well decorated with Bill's items." He also enjoys hiking, skiing, traveling, and golfing in his free time.
A fun fact that most people don't know about Gary is his past athletic achievement: "I played college baseball."

"I’ll usually go for a walk and just relax, streaming a show or movie," he said.
