En Japón, de finales de abril a principios de mayo se celebra un periodo festivo especial conocido como la Semana Dorada, una de las temporadas festivas más largas y esperadas del país. Esta semana consta de varios días festivos nacionales seguidos, entre ellos:
- Día de Showa (29 de abril), en honor al cumpleaños del emperador Showa.
- Día de Conmemoración de la Constitución (3 de mayo).
- Día del Verdor (4 de mayo) celebrando la naturaleza y el medio ambiente.
- Día del Niño (5 de mayo), un día para desear la salud y la felicidad de los niños.
Mucha gente en Japón aprovecha esta oportunidad para viajar, visitar a la familia, relajarse en casa o explorar sus aficiones y la naturaleza. Con varios días libres seguidos, es el momento perfecto para un merecido descanso.
