日本では、4月末から5月上旬にかけてゴールデンウィークと呼ばれる特別な休暇期間が続きます。これは、日本で最も長く、最も待ち望まれている休暇シーズンの一つです。この週は、以下のような祝日が連続して続きます。
- 昭和天皇の誕生日を祝う「昭和の日」（4月29日）。
- 憲法記念日（5月3日）。
- 自然と環境を祝うみどりの日（5月4日）。
- 子どもの健康と幸せを願う日、こどもの日（5月5日）。
