In Japan ist Ende April bis Anfang Mai eine besondere Ferienzeit, die sogenannte Goldene Woche – eine der längsten und mit größter Spannung erwarteten Ferienzeiten des Landes. In dieser Woche finden mehrere nationale Feiertage in enger Folge statt, darunter:
- Showa-Tag (29. April) zu Ehren des Geburtstags von Kaiser Showa.
- Tag des Gedenkens an die Verfassung (3. Mai).
- Am Greenery Day (4. Mai) werden Natur und Umwelt gefeiert.
- Kindertag (5. Mai), ein Tag, an dem wir Kindern Gesundheit und Glück wünschen.
Viele Menschen in Japan nutzen diese Gelegenheit, um zu reisen, ihre Familie zu besuchen, zu Hause zu entspannen oder Hobbys und der Natur nachzugehen. Mit mehreren freien Tagen am Stück ist es die perfekte Zeit für eine wohlverdiente Auszeit.
