The Univariate Distribution and Bivariate Relationships options in the Analyze menu require analysis using raw data, so tests cannot be performed using summary statistics such as sample means, sample standard deviations, or sample sizes.
If you want to perform a test based on this information, you can use the sample scripts provided with your JMP installation.
As an example, let's perform a one-sample two-tailed t-test using the following information:
Hypothetical mean: 10
Specimen average: 10.5
Sample standard deviation: 1.3
Sample size: 30
α level: 0.05
Example: One-sample t-test (two-tailed)
1. [Help]From the menu,Sample Index]Select
2. Select [Tools] in "①Content Type" and [Calculation] in "②Tool Type".

3. Select [TestMean.jsl] from the list displayed on the right and click [Open].
4. In the "Choose Input" window, select [Summary Statistics] and click [OK].

5. A new window will appear, so set it as follows:
Choose Type of Test:t-test
Choose type of alternative Hypothesis:Population mean is not equal to hypothesized mean (two-tailed)
Hypothesized Mean:10
Sample Average:10.5
Sample Standard Deviation:1.3
Sample Size:30
Significance Level (alpha):0.05
6. The results are displayed in Test Results. In this example, the p-value is 0.0439, which is significant.

*In this example, we performed a one-sample t-test, but you can perform a different test using summary statistics by changing the file selected in step 3 above.
TestProportion.jsl ⇒ Hypothesis test of one sample proportion
TestTwoSampleMeans.jsl ⇒ Hypothesis test for two sample means
TestTwoSampleProportions.jsl ⇒ Hypothesis test for two sample proportions
TestTwoSampleVariances.jsl ⇒ Hypothesis test of two sample variances
etc.
In addition, in the JMP Student Edition, you can perform the same analysis from the Student menu.
