Welcome back to our "Get to Know JMP" series, where we highlight the individuals who ensure JMP's business runs smoothly.
We took a short break after Reunion, but today we're excited to introduce you to Ambika Bhartia, a Business Operations Specialist.
On the job...
Ambika plays a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of our global operations. "My team is a group of experts in functions like data validations, name changes, restricted party screening (RPS), due diligence questionnaires (DDQ), e-commerce sales order territory assignments – just to name a few," she explained. "I play a pivotal role in the areas of DDQ & e-commerce sales orders. My typical day is working in these functions and assisting internal customers."
Her background in commerce and insurance has provided her with a strong foundation in operational excellence. "I did my bachelor’s in commerce (business laws, accountancy) and in my previous job, I worked for an insurance company in their licensing department," Ambika said.
Among her favorite projects at JMP, Ambika highlighted her work with due diligence questionnaires. "I was fortunate to have exposure to varied processes, but I really enjoyed answering our customers via due diligence questionnaires," she said. "It is a joy to serve the customer on behalf of JMP."
What Ambika values most about working at JMP is the blend of innovation and collaboration. "I love how JMPers are passionate about data and keep striving for perfection in their roles. I also enjoy collaborating with cross-functional teams and gaining from these valuable interactions."
For those starting in her field, Ambika offers valuable advice: "Keep an open mind and heart and learn from the industry experts. Ask for help and you’d be surprised at how wonderfully supportive the company and its people are."
When it comes to the JMP brand, Ambika embodies the spirit of approachability. "Just like the JMP software solves complex statistics issues with simple data, I strive to solve problems and innovate in my role."
On the side...
Outside of work, Ambika enjoys a variety of activities. "I love hiking, listening to music, and spending time with family and friends," she said. "And of course, who doesn’t like good food?"
A fun fact that might surprise many is her linguistic ability. "I am a quadrilingual and can speak four languages," Ambika revealed.
After a long day, Ambika finds joy in spending time with her family. "I love spending time with my new baby," she said.
