Sales Highlights
Kinross Farms (13 Apr 2021 – SE Asia T2)
Kinross Farms, an Australian family-owned business that has been producing high-quality eggs for more than 50 years, recently acquired one JMP Pro license.
In March, after being notified that Kinross had downloaded the 30-day JMP trial, Gahya Pandian reached out to learn more about the farm’s needs. Kinross’ main concern was finding a way to ensure stable, high-quality production that is within customer specifications. Gahya says, “Kinross hoped to implement such quality methods as measurement systems analyses, statistical process control and process capability.”
Bass Masri followed up with an Intro to JMP and JMP Pro webinar for the team at Kinross. Says Gahya, “Kinross told us that it is vital to maintain a sustainable and natural environment for the laying hens. Timely monitoring of production output and innovative analytical reporting methods for assessing consistent quality are important to ensure ongoing success. In addition to quality methods, Kinross hopes that designed experiments will be used to determine factors that affect production yield and that predictive modeling will be used to classify egg size into predetermined carton sizes: small, medium and large.”
Once they had a chance to see what JMP could do via the 30-day trial, Kinross was sold. The bump up from JMP to JMP Pro was a result of Bass outlining JMP Pro’s key features that went beyond Kinross’ initial scope. “I checked in with them, and they were very keen in getting a full version of JMP Pro, which they purchased in April,” says Gahya.

Ferroelectric Memory Company (07 Jun 2021 – DACH T1)
Ferroelectric Memory Company (FMC), which has developed the most advanced ferroelectric hafnium oxide memory technology, recently added six JMP licenses.
FMC is currently working with major semiconductor companies on its embedded and standalone memory solution. Its ferroelectric field-effect transistor (FeFET) and capacitor (FeCAP) technologies are easy to integrate, fast, low-power and scalable. They are also suitable for a wide range of AI, IoT, edge, data center and embedded applications.
Manuela Merkhofer says, “Johannes Ocker, Principal Device Engineer of Silicon Validation at FMC, was looking for a software tool and downloaded a JMP trial in March. He was very impressed by the ease of use of JMP and its DOE capabilities. Further, he liked the visualizations in Graph Builder that allowed him to quickly identify the most important factors that influence a process. FMC plans to use JMP’s advanced DOE functionality to speed up time to market, to stay competitive and to fit its customers’ needs.”
FMC expects to use JMP to prove that materials exhibit extreme temperature stability and endurance. Says Manuela, “FMC already had in-house tools, but they were not as flexible as JMP and took too much effort to get reliable results. Although FMC is a small company, it is in a hiring mode so we plan to stay in touch to identify future opportunities.”

Neptune Retail Solutions (17 Mar 2021 – US New York)
Neptune Retail Solutions, a leading provider of digital and in-store shopper marketing services across the US and Canada, recently added two JMP licenses.
After unsuccessfully using Excel for consumer behavior modeling, Neptune was looking for a new solution, so the New York JMP team’s biweekly 30-minute seminar, “Stats You Can Use” (SYCU), caught Neptune’s eye. Mike Anderson says, “Neptune was an early participant in the series and has been active for each subsequent episode. Neptune soon reached out for a one-on-one JMP demo, which led to an initial purchase of two JMP licenses for its Consumer Insights group. Neptune has remained an active participant in the SYCU series.”
Neptune plans to use JMP for explanatory model building (ANOVA and logistic regression) to determine advertising impacts on same-store sales. Mike says, “The Consumer Insights group will use JMP to analyze the results of sales and marketing campaigns. It expects to gain better insights and faster response time to analytics, as well as a better understanding of the effectiveness of historical marketing and sales campaigns.”
Although this deal was relatively small, the New York team has seen roughly $25,000 in total revenue from the SYCU events. Neptune is typical of the opportunities that have come from the series. Mike says he refined and expanded on the initial SYCU concept, which has also been championed by the US Southeast team, into an eight-part series. “Each episode within the series takes a snack-sized statistical topic and presents it in a fashion that can be consumed by users of any skill level,” Mike concludes.
