CEO Jon Weisz kicked off the JMP Reunion closing plenary with his characteristic humor, quipping about enjoying the reunion's culinary delights a little too much. “I enjoyed eating a lot and not exercising at all!”
His lighthearted opening quickly transitioned into a message of stability and growth. He underscored the strength of our company and the vital roles each of us plays, emphasizing that while the external landscape may be "crazy," JMP’s foundation is solid, and the work we do is meaningful. He also highlighted the significant amount of work on the horizon as we continue to move forward.

The plenary then moved into an insightful leadership panel Q&A session, offering a clear view into the strategic goals for various departments in the coming year. Each leader shared a concise yet impactful goal (in parentheses) for their teams and a little explanation of how they plan to achieve it:
- Senior Marketing Director Diana Levey (Engage): Focused on fostering connection, both remotely and in person, to strengthen our collaborative spirit.
- Legal Counsel Director Anissa Knox (Compliance): Emphasized the critical importance of compliance as we navigate the next stage of becoming an independent company. Her message was clear: when Compliance reaches out, your responsiveness is key.
- Research and Development Senior Director Brian Corcoran (Useful): Articulated the Development team's mission to create tools that are not just functional but genuinely useful and impactful in the lives of our users.
- Business Operations Senior Manager Kate Fitzgerald (Efficiency): Highlighted the commitment to streamlining processes in collaboration with Legal and Jonesie, making our workflows smoother.
- Finance Senior Director Jason Romanos (Process): Underscored the necessity of establishing robust and ethical processes as we transition to an independent entity.
- Marketing Director Jeff Perkinson (Frame working): Shared the progress in building a strong framework for MyJMP, SKP content, and STIPS, with a continued focus on refining and completing these vital resources.
- Sales Senior Vice President Michael Scruggs (Growth): Defined a holistic view of growth encompassing revenue, profit, JMP usage, and crucially, personal growth for each employee. He stressed the interconnectedness of these elements.
- Product Management Director Dan Valente (Coordinated): Emphasized the success of our global user feedback system and the ongoing commitment to efficiently translate those insights into tangible improvements for our user base.
- Data and Analytics Manager Andy Zhou (Data-driven): Highlighted the crucial role of data in informing policy and spending decisions during this period of change.
- Human Resources Director Paul Mastropolo (Fine-tune): Shared the strategy of leveraging data to identify areas for company-wide improvement, building upon our existing strong foundation.
- IT Software Development Director John Jones (Optimize): Explained the shift from building infrastructure to now focusing on optimizing our existing systems for peak performance.
- Pre-Sales Support Manager Phil Kay (Bayesian): Introduced a philosophy of incremental progress, emphasizing the importance of trying new things and building confidence and credibility through these efforts.
- JMP Founder and Chair John Sall (Syzygy): Introduced the concept of "syzygy," an astrological term for alignment, beautifully illustrating how each of our roles contributes to the smooth functioning of the entire organization.
