Welcome to the JMP Development Update for April 18, 2025!
We have now reached our freeze for JMP 19 EA8. Please update the Motivation and Summary section of your feature pages as soon as possible. Also, please review any open items you own that are currently on the JMP 19 Late Features page and move completed items into the Completed section. In many cases, we are using Epics on the Late Features page to track when late projects are complete. Bugs do not need to be linked to these feature epics since they can be addressed later in the cycle, so please feel free to disassociate incomplete bugs from epics if all Story items are closed out.
As JMP 19 feature work wraps up and we begin to look towards JMP 20, please sign up on the JMP Dev Meeting Volunteer Schedule page if you’re interested in presenting at a meeting in the next few months! Next week, Alex Taylor and other JMP Live team members will share about JMP Live’s transition to Git.
As some of you may already know, JMP 19 is planned to run in compatibility mode on machines with new Windows ARM processors. JMP development is working towards the goal of JMP working natively in Windows ARM environments for JMP 20 as more of the libraries we require become supported in this environment. Thanks to John Schroedl for sharing progress made in this area this week!
I was able to get the very first instance of a JMP build for ARM running. Thanks to help from a script Paul Nelson created I was able to use Python as well! Some things are disabled such as OpenBLAS, of course, but it's progress!

Finally, thanks to Shannon Leslie for sharing the details on the April 7 Atlassian product changes for Jira/Confluence:
On April 7, Atlassian rolled out changes to our Jira and Confluence Cloud sites. A list of relevant changes along with highlighted details and documentation can be found here.
The changes include:
- Watch items in content tree within a Confluence Space
- Deprecation of JQL search/Evaluate expression endpoints (starting May 1)
- Configure columns view of child issues in parent
Contact Shannon Leslie or any of the other JMP Atlassian admins with questions.
