Hear HR Director Paul Mastropolo explain the JMP Performance Bonus Plan for 2025, and use the attached document and spreadsheet to calculate your earnings. Watch the video with captions here.
I am excited to share the details of the 2025 JMP Performance Bonus Plan with you. As a reminder, this plan applies to all JMP employees in non-target carrying roles (e.g., HR, Legal, R&D, Finance, Marketing, etc.).
Attached for your review is the plan document containing terms and conditions, as well as a calculator that can be leveraged throughout the year to monitor your bonus earnings based on JMP financial performance and your individual goal attainment.
As I shared in a separate communication, this plan is consistent with the 2024 plan. We will continue to have one financial metric in the plan, Adjusted EBITDA, weighted at 75%. Lauren Aldrich, Finance Senior Manager, put together an excellent video and article a couple of years ago on Inside JMP that explains EBITDA and how employees can affect that metric. The individual performance component of the plan will remain weighted 25% of the annual target. The plan will also continue to pay semiannually.
CEO Jon Weisz offers some encouragement and advice on how to meet targets so that bonuses are possible: "As always, our goal is to fully fund bonuses, but JMP needs everyone’s help to do so. The best way that you can help JMP meet its EBITDA target (which is how bonuses can be fully funded) is to continue watching our expenses. Nearly all of JMP’s costs can fit into four categories: staffing, IT, travel expenses, and business development. Please keep these costs in mind as you think about asking for increased headcount, buying or renewing software licenses, booking a trip, or planning a customer-facing event. Just remember that managing our costs is directly related to bonus funding."
Thank you for all of your contributions to JMP’s continued success.
