Hi,
I got some feedback during the DSE about scripting and automation from users. One of that was about debugging tips. Especially when using things like Functions, New Window, include or similar things.
I guess a discussion on best practices on what works best might be very useful to a lot of people.
And an idea for planning of 2026 (I know quite early):
- it was mentioned before to revamp the basic sessions to attract a wider group again.
- I like this idea, however would mix it with reviewing and discussing past discovery paper/poster presentations on automation and scripting. Positives:
- highlighting available material/Information
- those presenters may introduce to the talk for 10 min
- discussing what is great on this example shares knowledge
- discussing alternative ways (if useful) enriches the learning aspect
What do you think about it.
@maria_astals can you talk to the other JMP teams to ask their customers who script to actively participate and may prepare a short topic? We need more people to contribute (best would be being part of the steering community, however, we can start smaller and still have a big impact.
