Pulling data from Power BI to JMPHas anyone had success pulling data from Power BI into JMP? I know you can do the .csv export from power BI, but the customer was hoping for a more streamlined process.
I thought this would be easy to do similar to pulling data from Excel via and ODBC connection. I was not able to find and ODBC driver for Power BI. We explored using a rest API it seems the authentication method used is not one JMP recognizes. Maybe there is a Python route, but wanted to check with the community before going down that route.
Re: Pulling data from Power BI to JMPHi Pete,
I think it is important to know if it is Power BI Desktop or Cloud. However there seem to be several ways to get data from Power BI. In this article there is an overview I found quite good to see the different options (in the article they focus on Power Shell, but the first part is the general overview): https://www.powershell.no/power/bi,/powershell/2020/02/29/power-bi-powershell.html
They seem to use an XMLA endpoint to connect and extract the data.
You might need to check in addition the security settings in Power BI as the role specified decides what you are allowed to access.
Not the full answer but maybe something for the next step
Re: Pulling data from Power BI to JMPDo they have the EA? I wonder if one of the new MS data connectors dev is working on might do the trick.Re: Pulling data from Power BI to JMPFrom what I can tell, the SharePoint/OneDrive data connector will not be helpful with PowerBI.

Re: Pulling data from Power BI to JMPLooks like it's stored locally in a "pbix" (whatever that is) and if it's cloud (more common case for us, I'd guess) it's in an Azure Blob.

It looks like newer versions of the MS SQL driver connect to Azure as well. I don't know if that would give you the access you need though.
