Pi Day, observed annually on March 14, is more than a simple excuse for enjoying a slice of pie. For JMP employees, it's a significant celebration of a fundamental mathematical constant and its vital role in our professional lives.
As a reminder, to commemorate Pi Day, all JMP staff will have a Recharge Day on Monday, March 17.
Celebrate Pi Day on March 14
Pi digit memorization, coloring walls, pi sculpture photos, and more events will take place in the building A, C, and R cafés at SAS world headquarters on Friday, March 14.
Here are some ways you can celebrate Pi Day, both on campus at SAS world headquarters and remotely:
- How well do you know pi? Put your knowledge to the test by taking the Pi Day 2025 quiz. Share your results on Viva Engage and social.
- Consider using a few hours (3.14 hours if you really want to dive into the … pi) to volunteer in a math classroom near you.
- Visit the Marketplace Café (Building C) and courtyard on March 14 for photos with the Pi in the Sky II sculpture, or you can also visit the Convergence sculpture in the Building A café courtyard. Pi digit memorization contests, coloring walls, and more Pi Day info will be available in all cafés.
