Welcome back to our "Get to Know JMP" series, where we introduce you to the talented individuals who shape our company's narrative. You can find all Get to Know stories using the Get to Know filter label in InsideJMP News.
Today, we're delighted to feature Sarah Cromer (@SarahCromer), a Communications Specialist.
On the job...
Sarah plays a crucial role in sharing the JMP story with the world. "Official Title: Communications Specialist. Unofficial Title: Chief Social Media Stalker," she playfully shared. "No two days look exactly alike, which is one of the things I love about working at JMP. My ADD brain enjoys that I get to dabble in dozens of different things, from writing to video editing, photography, and design. I also think of myself as one of the JMP storytellers, who gets to use social media as a platform to tell the world about how great JMP is (both as a software and as a place to work)."
Her journey to communications is rooted in a passion for storytelling. "I received my journalism degree from UNC-Chapel Hill," Sarah said. "After college, I worked with a Christian non-profit that I was involved in during my undergrad years. I fell in love with the concept of storytelling (through many different mediums) and decided to pursue a career that allowed me to do that full-time."
Among her favorite projects at JMP, Sarah highlights her work with video. "Anything that allows me to get behind the camera to film," she said. "My favorite was probably being part of the team that recreated the JMP anthem in 2024."

"I love that JMP values its employees and cares about who we are as well-rounded individuals, not just the work we produce (even though we do produce excellent work)."
For those starting in communications, Sarah offers practical advice: "Find your niche – think about what brings you joy in your daily work and invest in those skills every chance you get!"
When it comes to representing JMP’s brand, Sarah aligns most with the Helpful pillar. “I strive to be helpful in all areas of life – both at home and at work - and to do so with a cheerful attitude.”

Outside of work, Sarah is navigating the joys and challenges of motherhood. "I joke that I am not allowed to have hobbies in this stage of life as a mom of two littles (kidding, but not really)," she joked. "Can I say that I am passionate about surviving toddlerhood and re-discovering myself at a later date?"
A fun fact that might surprise many is her entrepreneurial spirit. "My husband and I started a micro cut flower farm in 2024," Sarah said. "We just moved to a new house with more land so that we can build the business. Keep an eye out for LOTS of flowers come spring."
After a long day, Sarah finds solace in simple pleasures. "Sitting in silence with a glass of wine," she said. "Also reading — mostly fiction books – this is purely a form of escapism."
Sarah's creative energy and dedication to sharing JMP's story make her a valuable asset to our team. We're grateful to have her!
