Today, we're thrilled to introduce you to Kyoko Myoko (@KyokoMyoko), an HR Business Partner and Talent Acquisition professional.
On the job...
Kyoko plays a pivotal role in shaping JMP's workforce. "My role involves collaborating closely with business leaders to support strategic workforce planning, employee engagement, and performance management," she explains. "On the talent acquisition side, I focus on attracting and hiring top talent to drive the company’s success."
A typical day for Kyoko is a blend of strategic discussions, recruitment activities, and employee support. "I attend meetings with managers to discuss workforce needs, review recruitment strategies, conduct interviews, and work on employee development initiatives," she said. Kyoko also handles HR-related inquiries and provides guidance on policies and best practices for employees.
Kyoko's journey to HR is unique and insightful. "I started my career in sales, where I learned to understand customer needs and build strong relationships," she said. She then transitioned to an executive assistant role, which allowed her to develop organizational and strategic skills. “These experiences fueled my passion for supporting both people and business growth, leading me to HR," she said.
One of her favorite projects at JMP are the Global Recognition Programs. "It's been inspiring to learn about the incredible contributions of our colleagues across the company," Kyoko said. "Being part of this program has reinforced how much JMP values and appreciates its employees."
What Kyoko loves most about working at JMP is the people-first culture. "The company truly values its employees, creating an environment where everyone is supported and encouraged to grow," she emphasizes. "I also appreciate the autonomy we have in our roles, balanced with strong support from leadership."
When it comes to representing JMP’s brand, Kyoko says she embodies the "Approachable" pillar. "As an HR Business Partner, I strive to be open, accessible, and supportive to foster a positive and collaborative work environment," she said.

Outside of work, Kyoko has a vibrant passion for Argentine tango. "I've been learning tango for about three and a half years," she said. "It's not just the dance itself, but the opportunity to connect with people from diverse backgrounds. I even started learning Spanish to immerse myself further."
After a long day, Kyoko unwinds with simple pleasures. "My favorite way to relax is with a quiet cup of tea or a soothing bath with fragrant bath salts," she says. "It's the perfect way to end the day feeling refreshed and calm."
