Today, we're excited to introduce you to Dahlia Watkins (@Dahlia_Watkins), a Senior Technical Support Engineer.
On the job...
Dahlia is a key player in ensuring our customers receive top-notch technical assistance. "My day consists of handling incoming technical support cases, answering phone calls, working on self-assigned projects, and assisting my team and other teams as needed," he explains.
His journey into the technical field began with a personal passion for computers. "My background is in Information Technology and Security," Dahlia shared. "I took an early interest in computers, starting with building my own machines in college. This led to a desire to work in a technical field."
Among his favorite projects at JMP, Dahlia highlights his work on the Salesforce call routing process for technical support and engagement calls. "I also enjoyed helping other teams, like Finance and Business Operations, get up and running with Salesforce," he said.
What Dahlia values most about working at JMP is the people. "The people I work with are professional, easy to talk to, and fun to work for and with.”

For those starting in technical support, Dahlia offers valuable advice: "Force yourself out of your comfort zone. Some technical people can naturally be introverted. Getting to know your co-workers is a great way to build relationships."
When it comes to representing JMP’s brand, Dahlia aligns most with the Helpful pillar. "In support, we are often the first or second point of contact for our customers," he explained. "I promote JMP by assisting customers, advocating for their needs, and ensuring their trust in our support. Being helpful resonates with me deeply. I enjoy helping people and ensuring they have a good experience with our product. Making a friend along the way is just the ‘icing on the cake’."
On the side...
Outside of work, Dahlia's passions are diverse and heartfelt. "I am passionate about family, art, music, church, and football (Go Commanders!)," he said.
A fun fact that might surprise many is his theatrical past. "As a kid, I played the scarecrow in my elementary school’s Wizard of Oz play."
