What inspired this Wish List Request?
Multiple requests from customers as a need to sit between DSD's and Custom Designs.
Please describe the new or improved feature or solution you would like to see.
OMARs appear to be catalog designs, so I'm not sure what that will look like for implementation, but Hadley and Phil's add-in could be a starting point.
What would the value be to you and/or other users if this new feature is provided?
The only tool that currently provides OMARS is a pay-per-design tool created by Nunez and Goos. Adding this directly to the product will provide an instant value-add to our users in this space.
Is this an external customer request?
Yes, Takeda, Thermofisher, as well as other customers at the Cambridge mixed model event (Feb 2025) were asking about it.
Is there a competitive software package that has this feature or solution that we should be aware of?
Effex is the only competitor in the OMARS space at the moment. (FWIW, they call us out directly in their comparisons, see the URL for their competitor analysis: https://www.effex.app/jmp-vs-effex)
Will this impact a renewal, expansion, or adoption at a customer, and does this put an account at risk if we do not address this?
Customers have indicated that their sales model is a weak point based on the cost of the designs. Providing an answer their needs would provide another renewal protection and help with expansion and new accounts.
