The redesigned jmp.com is live and promises a faster, more streamlined experience. This significant update reflects JMP's growth and commitment to providing a user-friendly platform for our global audience.
A key driver behind the redesign was establishing jmp.com as a standalone website independent of SAS systems. This move allows for greater agility and control, enabling the JMP web team to tailor the site to JMP users' needs.
“We can maintain the site with a small team and still provide the functionality we need,” Digital Design Senior Manager Aaron Kennedy (@Aaron_Kennedy) explained. “What we've built is a leaner solution, better suited for a company the size of JMP."
The redesign also emphasizes a stronger alignment with the broader JMP brand, ensuring a cohesive and recognizable online presence.
Enhanced performance means better user experience
The new jmp.com prioritizes speed and responsiveness. A collaboration with Adobe has resulted in a new document authoring tool, significantly improving website performance. Visitors will have faster loading times and a smoother browsing experience. JMP content authors will also benefit from an improved user interface, making content management more efficient.
“Aaron and his team have done a tremendous job collaborating with our external partners Arbory Digital and Adobe directly to bring this new version of jmp.com to life,” Digital Operations Director John Jones (@JonesieAtJMP) said. “We are one of the first companies to use this new authoring tool from Adobe, and while it’s not been without challenges, it has also been exciting for the team to be helping shape the product as we build out our new site."
Simplified global reach
The website adopts a "language-only model," streamlining the user experience. It continues to support nine languages, including English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese, ensuring accessibility for our global user base.
Kennedy says all URLs will change because of the new model. But don’t fret—redirects are in place to ensure seamless navigation.
Most of the content has been migrated, and work is ongoing to complete the remaining content transfer. While additional feature requests are not currently being accepted, users are encouraged to report any critical issues through jmp.com/request, selecting "General Web/Design | AEM Support [Web Team].”
The new jmp.com represents a significant step forward, offering a more efficient, user-friendly platform for accessing JMP resources and information. “It’s been a long time in the making, and it’s exciting to finally launch the new site,” Kennedy said. “Thanks for the concerted effort across the teams within Digital Operations and JMP Marketing.”
Congrats to Aaron and team! It looks great!
A herculean effort and a fantastic result. Many thanks to the many JMPers who worked long, hard hours to build this beautiful new site for us.
Looks awesome! Congratulations and thank you to all those who worked on the new site.
The previous site had a link to new JMP features which was very useful when demoing new features. This link used to be found under Products > New in JMP 18. I am able to find it through a Google search (https://www.jmp.com/en/software/new-release/new-in-jmp) but can no longer find it from jmp.com. Does anyone know how this extremely useful page is navigated to from the JMP homepage?
The redesigned website looks awesome!! I loved the language-only model, makes it much easier to get English content in Germany!
I'm missing two links: Paper Helicopter Experiment and Summer Doe Challenge
Any chances to still get the materials for the challenges?
Absolutely stunning! Thank you for the incredible effort to deliver such a beautiful jmp.com!
@mzwald Every page can't be included in the navigation menu. Easiest just to point the customer directly to that page with the shortcut: jmp.com/new
Many more handy shortcuts and redirects in the List of JMP.com and community.jmp.com shortcuts and redirects,
@Jeff_Perkinson very useful list, thanks for pointing that out (bookmarked)! I am enjoying the new layout and appreciate the cleaner interface. In fact I enjoyed it so much, that I navigated through most of the site in under 20mins (it is also markedly faster too, bravo!), and was able to find most of the resources in the list of JMP shortcuts from the home page, but What's New in JMP remains elusive.
The jmp.com/request link in the second-to-last paragraph leads to a google search page and not the request page
