Workshop Summary
This workshop presents foundations for conducting longitudinal data analysis (LDA) in the structural equation modeling (SEM) framework. We present best practices for assessing survey reliability and validity, testing measurement invariance, and fitting LDA models used in personality and social psychology, including auto-regressive and longitudinal growth curve models for panel and time series data. We clarify when certain models are more appropriate, explain model specifications, and provide guidelines for reporting results. We use empirical demonstrations and hands on examples to ensure attendees leave with tangible skills.
