After installing JMP 7 on my Macintosh, double-clicking an Excel file icon launches JMP

The JMP 7 installer for Macintosh does not change file associations, but sometimes file associations are changed as a result. If this happens, follow the steps below to fix the associations.

Control- click the file and select Get Info from the pop-up menu.
In the "Open with" section of the information window, select the application of your choice, and then click the "Change All" button below it.
