JMP can compare two open data tables and report the differences between scripts, table variables, column names, column properties, column attributes and of course differences in data.
[On Screen] Tables > Compare Data Tables.
If necessary, select the data table that you want to compare from the list.
[On Screen] Select Fuzzy Compare and enter the relative error to see numeric differences within the specified rate.
Before we even select compare button, In the Table Info section we can see that the amount of Rows differs and but they both have 8 Columns.
Click the red triangle and select which items you want to compare and how to show the differences, and then click Compare.
Under Data, the Difference Summary and Difference Plot are shown by default. Additionally, any red triangle options that you selected also appear.
The interactive Difference Summary report and Different Plot indicate how rows differ between reports. Each entry in the Difference Summary report shows which action occurred, how many rows are affected, and the first row in which the change occurs.
The reason the plot is vertically long is that the grey area indicates that no differences were noted. Colors indicate where and the type of difference was noted.

Data differences from Fishing1 from Fishing2 Data Tables
Row 1 - changed Fish Caught Col from 0 to 2
Row 8 - Deleted Entire Row
Row 10 - Deleted Entire Row
Row After 2 - Added a new row of Data
The 1st action entry noted is that one row (N) at Row 1 was replaced and highlights that row in the data tables.
The 2nd entry is that I added a single Row after 2.
And the following difference was I added deleted two rows. 8 and 10.
When you select the entry in the Difference Summary report on the left, the entry highlights in yellow, and the row flashes in the data table.
For a graphical view of the comparison, place your cursor over a colored cell in the Difference Plot.
Click the Previous difference and Next difference buttons above the Difference Summary to navigate from row to row.
[On Screen] Save the Difference Summary report to a data table by selecting Save Difference Summary from the red triangle menu.
Select Compare Table Properties from the red triangle menu to see differences in table scripts and variables.
I've linked a tutorial to follow below. I hope you find the JMP Compare Data Tables tool useful in an upcoming project.
Additional
Character values that do not match exactly appear in the report. For numeric data, you can select a relative (or fuzzy) comparison. The numeric values are considered equal if they are within the relative error rate that you specify. The smaller the relative error, the more precise the comparison.
For this demo, I created these 2 data tables from the Fishing sample data. Let's see if we can discover the changes I made. To compare two data tables have them both open in JMP.
In one of the tables, select Tables > Compare Data Tables.
