The formula coefficients embedded in the saved principal component scores column by the Save Principal Components command do not match the eigenvectors displayed in the principal component analysis report.When you select Principal Component Analysis from Rotation Plot or Principal Component Analysis from Correlation Coefficients in Multivariate Correlation, the data is standardized internally to calculate eigenvalues and eigenvectors. Meanwhile, the principal component scores are calculated by multiplying the standardized data and eigenvectors. Therefore, the coefficients in the formula are the eigenvectors shown in the report divided by the standard deviation of the original variables (not standardized).
