(Performance Optimization Issues When Running JMP on Convertible)

Hello JMP Community, I’ve recently started using JMP for data visualization and statistical analysis, and I’ve encountered some performance concerns when running it on a convertible laptop. While the software works well for basic tasks, I’ve noticed slowdowns when handling larger datasets or performing complex analyses. This issue becomes more apparent when multitasking with other applications or using external displays. One thing I’ve observed is that the software’s responsiveness varies depending on the device’s power settings and thermal management. For instance, when using my Yoga 7 AMD Laptop, I sometimes experience lag when switching between graphs, and interactive visualizations tend to stutter unless I’m plugged into power. I suspect that power efficiency modes and CPU throttling might be affecting performance. Has anyone else experienced similar issues on a 2-in-1 laptop, and are there any recommended settings within JMP to optimize performance? I’ve checked the official JMP Community for potential solutions, but I’d love to hear from users who have fine-tuned their devices for smoother operation. Are there specific settings or tweaks in Windows or JMP itself that could help maintain consistent performance without excessive resource consumption? Additionally, does anyone have recommendations on balancing battery life and performance when using JMP on the go? Looking forward to your insights, and all credit goes to the JMP Community for the valuable discussions and solutions shared here. Thanks in advance!
