The JMP Store has significantly broadened its global reach over the past year. Starting in January 2024 as a US-only operation transacting solely in USD, the store has rapidly expanded its footprint to serve customers in numerous countries. By mid-2024, the JMP Store was available in 35 countries, supporting 13 currencies. This impressive growth demonstrates a commitment to making JMP software accessible to a wider audience.
The expansion hasn't stopped there. The JMP Store team, led by Digital Operations Director John Jones (@JonesieAtJMP), has diligently added more countries to its existing USD and EUR currency stores, steadily increasing the number of regions where customers can purchase JMP products.
Each new country launch requires meticulous coordination and testing between Digital Operations, Finance, and the merchant of record. This collaborative effort ensures accurate taxation and synchronization of internal country codes across five crucial systems: Adobe Commerce, Salesforce, NetSuite, Stripe, and the merchant of record's dashboard. This complex process underscores the dedication to accuracy and compliance in every new market.
You can find an up-to-date overview of all available countries and the associated currency Store, payment methods, and taxes on the JMP Store Country Overview Confluence page.
Achieving a global milestone, and further growth on the horizon
The JMP Store is now in 75 countries.Recently, the JMP Store celebrated a significant milestone, reaching 75 countries with the addition of Panama and Egypt. IT Software Development Senior Manager Falco Kronmueller (@Falco) shared details of this achievement that highlight the store's remarkable progress in a short period.
And Kronmueller says the expansion continues! Later in February, several more countries, including Bahrain, Cyprus, Kenya, Latvia, and Qatar, are expected to join the growing list.
“Further international expansion hinges on the capabilities of the merchant of record to handle taxation in new regions,” Kronmueller said. “The addition of more African countries is on their roadmap, and once these become available, the JMP Store plans to integrate them as well. This strategic approach ensures sustainable growth while maintaining compliance with local regulations.”
The JMP Store's ongoing international expansion reflects the increasing global demand for robust statistical software. By continually adding new countries, the JMP Store empowers researchers, analysts, and data scientists worldwide with the tools they need to unlock insights from their data. The commitment to meticulous testing and cross-functional collaboration ensures a seamless and reliable purchasing experience for customers, regardless of their location.
