[Up to JMP 17] When applying a license, the message "An error occurred while processing the JMP license file" appears.Description of the incident
When applying a JMP license file, you may encounter the following error:

This error is usually caused by one of the following issues:
- The license file you are trying to apply is for a different version.
- A JMP 17 license file can only be applied to JMP 17, not other versions of JMP.
- For example, a license file for JMP 16 cannot be applied to JMP 17. You can determine which version of JMP a license file applies to by looking at the naming convention of the license file, which will look something like "JMP_123456_12345678_Win_X64.txt." Check the part.
Note: In JMP 16 and 17, the error reads "This license appears to be for a different version of JMP."
- The license file you are trying to apply is for a different operating system.
A JMP license file for Windows will not work on a Mac, and vice versa. In the example above, "JMP_123456_12345678_Win_X64.txt" will only work on Windows. A Mac license file will have the suffix _OSX_.
- The license file is manually edited.
Modifying the text in the license file will invalidate the license.
