Read a SAS data set
- You can open a SAS data set directly from the JMP menu by selecting File > Open.
- (For JMP 17 and earlier) You can load the data by selecting File > SAS > Browse Data and connecting to the SAS server.
Write to a SAS data set
- (For JMP 18 and earlier) Select "Save As" and then "SAS Data Set (*.SAS7BDAT)" to export.
- (For JMP 17 and earlier) You can also export data by selecting File > SAS > Export Data to SAS and connecting to a SAS server.
Note: In JMP 18, the File > SAS item was removed.
Note: In JMP 19, the SAS Data Set (*.SAS7BDAT) file type has been removed from the Save As options. If you use Save As, consider using a different file type, such as SAS Transport File (*.xpt).
Another alternative for JMP 19 users with a local SAS installation is to connect to the local SAS installation using the connector " com.jmp.sas_local " via File > Connect > Data Connectors, then select File > Export > SAS, specify the server and library, and export the data to the specified library path in SAS dataset ( .sas7bdat ) format.
