Support for Mac OS X LionJMP 9 has been certified to run on Mac OS X Lion (10.7.x).
The following issues have been identified, but the rest of the program works fine:
- After installation, you will need to install the Java runtime from the Internet on first launch.
When you first start JMP, you will see the message "Java Runtime is required to open JMP. Do you want to install Java Runtime now?" Click the "Install" button to install Java Runtime. Your Mac must be connected to the Internet at this time. - When you click the help tool (the "?" tool) or the Help button on the platform launch window, the message "The selected topic is currently unavailable" may be displayed and the corresponding help page may not be displayed.
If you launch the help from the Help menu without using the help tool, you can view the help without any problems. - If you have the Mac General System Preferences setting Restore windows when quitting and reopening applications selected, any open data tables will be reopened when you reopen JMP, even if you choose not to save your session when you quit JMP.
- The descending and ascending icons in the dialog that appears when you click on Table > Sort are both Mac Finder icons.
JMP 8 and earlier versions have not been certified to run on Mac OS X Lion.
