Tong, Seung HoonProfessor Tong Seung Hoon, an engineering statistics and data science expert in the semiconductor quality/manufacturing field at Samsung Electronics, has been responsible for systematizing and applying data science and big data analysis methodologies to manufacturing and quality systems. He received his Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from KAIST, sponsored by Samsung Electronics, and was appointed a Samsung Electronics Master in 2012, contributing significantly to the advancement of this field. He subsequently moved to the Samsung Institute of Technology (SSIT) and has been dedicated to nurturing semiconductor engineers. His primary interest lies in the application of data science methodologies to solve real-world problems and make rational decisions. Drawing on nearly 35 years of experience in the semiconductor quality/manufacturing field, he also has a keen interest in the application of reliability engineering. As an advisory professor, he lectures and advises at Samsung Institute of Technology (SSIT) and Hanyang Cyber University.
