For many years, I have been researching QM (Quality Management), the use of statistics in QM, and design theory. Since the beginning of the 21st century, I have proposed a new design paradigm called Hyper Design and developed the HOPE theory for it. I have also been working on the HOPE-Add-in, a software that strongly supports it, in collaboration with SAS for over 10 years. Hyper Design is a paradigm, HOPE theory is what makes it possible, and HOPE-Add-in for JMP is a powerful support tool for actual design. These three elements work together to make a new type of design approach possible. In addition to the above research, I have been conducting simulation education as well as lecturing on QM, the use of statistics in QM, and design theory as an assistant professor and professor at Tokyo University of Science and Keio University for over 30 years. During that time, I have also conducted simulation education as a part-time lecturer at many universities and graduate schools, including Yale University, Tsukuba University, and Aoyama Gakuin University. During the same period, he conducted practical simulation education at the request of many companies, JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency), and UNIDO (United Nations Industrial Development Organization). The educational theory he developed during this process and the results of the numerous educational programs he conducted have been published in academic presentations, papers, and books.
