Hello JMP Community,
I recently upgraded to a new AI-enhanced PC, hoping to leverage its advanced capabilities for my data analysis projects using JMP. However, I've encountered several issues that I believe are worth discussing:
Software Compatibility: Some JMP features don't seem to utilize the AI hardware effectively, leading to performance bottlenecks. For instance, certain computational tasks run slower than on my previous non-AI PC.
Driver Conflicts: The AI components have introduced driver conflicts, causing JMP to crash intermittently. Updating drivers hasn't resolved the problem entirely.
Resource Allocation: The AI processes appear to consume significant system resources, leaving less available for JMP operations. This is particularly noticeable during intensive data simulations.
I came across an article discussing how AI PCs, especially those with Qualcomm's ARM-based chips, face compatibility challenges with various software applications. The article highlights that many programs, including some games and professional software, are not fully optimized for these new AI architectures, leading to performance issues and software conflicts.
Has anyone else experienced similar challenges? Are there known solutions or workarounds to optimize JMP's performance on AI PCs? Any insights or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated.
