UPDATE as of Feb. 14: The hard-working Web Team needs a little more time to make sure everything on the new and improved jmp.com is working as expected. As a result, the launch date has been moved to Feb. 25. Just one extra week – but it will be worth it!
You’ve been hearing about it for months, wondering when it will be a reality. Well, that reality will soon be here!
That’s right, the new jmp.com, redesigned and oh-so-improved (both for its users and creators), is expected to be up and running the week of Feb. 17. You’ll see more details about how great the new site is just before it launches.
But there are some important stops along the timeline that you need to know about, especially if you are used to creating content or need something from the Web Team:
- Content freeze: As of Monday, Feb. 3, no new non-business-critical content can be added to the existing site. The team needs time over the coming weeks to focus on getting the new site up and running. Please hold off on requests until the new site launches.
- No more AEM: As of Friday, Feb. 28, nearly all of JMP’s AEM licenses will expire. There will be a handful retained by the Web Team and a few authors, but most folks should expect to lose their access to AEM.
- DA licenses are coming: The new site will use Document Authoring (DA), a new AEM authoring tool from Adobe. The Web Team will be rolling out DA licenses to the people who need them, since new users must be trained first. However, you don’t need to request a license; the Web Team will contact users to schedule training over the next few weeks.
