You may have heard of the Silvio Miccio Discovery talk where he showed that you can have a living breathing model based on the physical, chemical, and/or other technical measures that define a given material that is to be tested.
More recently Mahmoud Hammoud presented a poster on this topic a scientific conference in Europe and I have done an Advanced Mastering JMP on this subject. Search on the subject title to find the advanced mastering talk.
Mahmoud and I are very passionate about getting the word out on this technique and we believe that the science community at large would be very well served if they used this technique where they know or can get the physical, chemical, and/or biological properties of materials they are testing.
The result of this technique is a living model that can be used to predict which material(s) will give the best overall performance, or the model may even be used to suggest a material with properties that have not been tested.
The result of our efforts will likely end up in the Technical Reference Library, but in the meantime we wanted to get the word out to you all. If you have any questions or would like to see this technique in action please let contact one us and we can go from there.
