January is Mental Wellness Month, a dedicated time to raise awareness about mental health, reduce stigma, and encourage individuals to prioritize their well-being.

To kick off Mental Wellness Month, the JMP DEI Action Team invited Courtney Leak, the CEO of Haven Wellness, as our guest speaker.
Courtney shared valuable insights and practical strategies for creating healthy, sustainable wellness practices after the holiday season's overindulgence.
Employees were able to give feedback and ask questions about their own wellness.
Mental health is a fundamental part of our overall health, impacting our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Prioritizing mental wellness is crucial for:
- Increased productivity and creativity: A healthy mind fosters sharper focus, better decision-making, and increased problem-solving abilities.
- Stronger relationships: Positive mental well-being enhances our ability to connect with others, build meaningful relationships, and navigate social situations effectively.
- Improved physical health: Mental and physical health are intricately linked. Prioritizing mental wellness can contribute to better sleep, healthier eating habits, and increased resilience to physical illness.
Beyond the presentation: Resources and support
As a subsidiary of SAS, JMP staff can take advantage of all the resources that are available for their well-being. SAS offers a variety of resources and support to help you prioritize your mental well-being, including workshops, webinars, articles, employee assistance programs (EAPs), and more.
