Hi,
Please could I get some help understanding power analysis?
I have 2 treatments with 6 pen replicates. I have ran an ANOVA which has showed the P value of 0.1, SEM= 0.011. I would like help to find out:
- With the current data- what is the l.s.d. or the minimum difference between the two points I would need to have to see a significant difference here?
- How many more replicates would I need to see a significant difference between the two mean values I have?
I have seen the power analysis window and I'm guessing I would select:
Solve for Power, Solve for LSV, what does LSN mean? Do I need to enter any numbers into the table for power analysis or can I leave it blank?
In the analysis below, would I be right in assuming that my number of replicates I need would be 14 for each treatment?
And would I need to see a difference of 0.0365 for these two to be significant with the current level of reps?
Thanks in advance
Abbie
