What inspired this Wish List Request?
While working through the Visual Vocabulary provided by the Financial Times (one of the thought leaders in the data viz space). I found one graph that should be simple but is not directly possible in Graph Builder. It's called a streamgraph (wikipedia). The key missing element is a symmetric baseline for the stacked area chart (stream chart in matplotlib ).
Please describe the new or improved feature or solution you would like to see.
Provide support for streamgraphs (symmetric baseline) in the Stacked Area graph element type.
What would the value be to you and/or other users if this new feature is provided?
The graph type has use when displaying change in proportions over time. It's a better choice than the Mosaic in time series.

No
Is there a competitive software package that has this feature or solution that we should be aware of?
Supported in several of the more popular data viz specific packages in R, Python, and D3.
Will this impact a renewal, expansion, or adoption at a customer, and does this put an account at risk if we do not address this?
Given that no commercial software I could find supports stream graphs, this would be an interesting differentiator in this space for us.
