A successful Discovery Summit Korea in 2024

JMP STAFF REFLECT ON ANOTHER GREAT EVENT IN SEOUL

The 2024 Discovery Summit in Seoul, South Korea, brought together scientists, engineers, statisticians, and academics last week for an immersive event focused on the latest advancements in data analytics and visualization. In the morning, attendees were introduced to the product roadmap and given rare insight into the principles guiding how new features are prioritized for development. Later, they were treated to a series of R&D lighting talks on Functional Data Explorer, Bayesian optimization, DOE, and data connectors.

User presentations covered a similarly wide range of topics, from predictive modeling and machine learning to advanced statistical techniques, providing valuable insights into how organizations in Korea are extracting actionable intelligence from their data. The event fostered a collaborative environment, with opportunities for networking and learning from experts in various industries.

I was also happy to see that many of them enjoyed the event.
One attendee told me that this year's DS Korea was the best event he had attended since participating in past JMP events.
He had attended Discovery Summit America with his customers in the past and mentioned that he liked this event because it featured both English and Korean speakers and the contents.
I personally learned a lot from attending the real event in Korea.

Discovery Summit Korea, which had been held online due to COVID-19, was held as a face-to-face event for the second time. I was honestly very nervous before the event started in the morning of the event because I was not sure how many customers who had registered would attend. I felt relieved only when the seats at the venue started to fill up.

I think that Discovery Summit Korea was an event where most of the attendees could share the common and genuine feeling of the Discovery Summit Series have been held in the other countries. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the Korean team members and all presenters from HQs who worked hard to make the event a success and to all those who helped us behind the scenes. I look forward to Discovery Summit Korea where we can connect with more customers by sharing, asking questions, and learning more next year.
