Graph Builder provides a drag-and-drop interface with zones, easily selectable graphing options, interactive filters and a variety of ways to view basic statistics about your data. See to change graph type, overlap multiple graph types, display and report on multiple Y-variables on the same axes, manipulate the axes and change the order of graph items.

Q: Can these graph edits be saved permanently using preferences or settings?
A: JMP 18 has a new feature "Presets" that does just that. You can save the custom settings for any platform to reuse again later or share with other JMP users.
Q: Can you make the middle line that separates the two graphs a lot thick, or move the two apart?
A: You can go to the upper red triangle and select Graph spacing. A new window will come up where you can increase the size from the default of 1.
Q: To import multiple files, do columns need to be in the same order?
A: No, columns don’t have to be in the same order.
Q: Can I do a bar chart and scatter points both on the Y-axis.
A: Yes, see the video below.
Q: Can you show some binned column options?
A: Yes, I used binned data in one of my examples. See how in video below.
Q: How do I set background color?
A: In JMP>Preferences> Report - Check-mark Transparent backgrounds.
Q: Can the preferences be changed to where the smoother is NOT on by default?
A: You can go to Preferences > Platforms > Graph Builder and deselect the auto smoother option for when you start a Graph Builder.
