What inspired this Wish List Request?
2 conversations before Discovery 2024 (one of which was on the SE Discussion Board) and 2 during Discovery with users.
Please describe the new or improved feature or solution you would like to see.
It would be great if JMP could natively handle multiple curves in the same profiler, each with different targets, so that a user could set the importance of each curve, then let the profiler optimize/find a sweet spot. Right now, this requires one of at least 2 workarounds, documented on this blog post).
What would the value be to you and/or other users if this new feature is provided?
The ability to optimizing competing curves would be useful in a lot of situations, basically anywhere a user needs to compare tradeoffs curves.
Is this an external customer request?
Yes. I don't have the name for @Florian_Vogt 's customer.
The two discussions I had at Discovery were with Michael Cantwell at Peak Nano and Jeff Hammes at Brady Worldwide (although Jeff's particular need ended up being something slightly different in the end).
Is there a competitive software package that has this feature or solution that we should be aware of?
None that I know of.
Will this impact a renewal, expansion, or adoption at a customer, and does this put an account at risk if we do not address this?
I don't think so, especially since there are workarounds.
