What inspired this Wish List Request? This came from three customers who recently saw what's new in JMP 18 sessions and asked if these could be added to the new capability
Please describe the new or improved feature or solution you would like to see. The customer would like to be able to add %missing as a summary statistic in columns headers and in columns manager. The goal was to quickly see which responses had a high percentage of missingness and should be excluded from the analysis. There was also the request to be able to quickly save or turn the summary stats into a data table something similar to data view, but have summary stats view.
What would the value be to you and/or other users if this new feature is provided? This would improve ease of use for JMP users, and it would improve the user experience when dealing with missing values
Is this an external customer request? Yes the customers were P&G, Micron and Cargill
Is there a competitive software package that has this feature or solution that we should be aware of? All of these values are easy to calculate in Excel, but this would be much more user friendly not requiring a formula.
Will this impact a renewal, expansion, or adoption at a customer, and does this put an account at risk if we do not address this? I don't think this feature will impact the renewal, but it potentially will speed up adoption at both Micron and Cargill as they were very interested at an easy way to get at %missing.
