TOTO Group has been training data scientists through an in-house study abroad program since fiscal year 2020. Participants come from a wide range of departments, including manufacturing, sales, SCM, and after-sales service, and receive a total of two years of training, consisting of three months of basic training and 21 months of OJT (practical training based on the DX theme of their original department). In this basic training, JMP is used to teach multivariate analysis. In addition, JMP is used on a daily basis for a wide range of issues, such as analyzing quality conditions in factories and examining demand forecasting models. In this presentation, we will first introduce an overview of the in-house study abroad program, and then introduce examples of how JMP is used in the theme, focusing on frequently used functions and methods.
