What inspired this Wish List Request?
Currently there is no Read-Only option in the Data Connector Editor window for ODBC connection to major DBMSs.
Please describe the new or improved feature or solution you would like to see.
Adding Read-Only option to enable users establish read-only connection easily.
What would the value be to you and/or other users if this new feature is provided?
It could prevent unintentional/accidental writing into the database

The user told us that there is a free software that allows us to connect several major DBMSs via ODBC and it has Read-Only option in its UI.

It is a software just for SQL development and not in full competition with JMP.
The user said even such free software supports it, JMP should be able to support it, too.
Will this impact a renewal, expansion, or adoption at a customer, and does this put an account at risk if we do not address this?
Not directly, but it will improve the user experience.
