Hey everyone,
Has anyone successfully managed to get data from a USB device using JSL's Datafeed() command?
Datafeed(), from what I can tell, only will get data from COM (9-pin serial), not USB ports. So there needs to be some sort of translation between the USB device and JMP, to trick JMP into thinking that JMP is getting the data from a serial device and not an USB device.
I know that the USB device is streaming data, because I have other applications that consume this data successfully.
Thanks for any information you have on "ready-to-go" implementations; while I know that an emulator could be writen in <>, I am nearly certain I won't be doing that
Cheers,
Brady

describes a USB connected "com port" device. I've also done this with a NMEA GPS device.
most serial devices use a USB port now, and a usb driver may or may not be needed.
the arduino article hints at a problem we've never taken time to resolve: the device must pause the transmissions periodically to allow JMP to grab the data. And the I/O is one directional.
