During the experimental design process, many potential important factors are often identified. Ideally, as many of these important factors as possible should be investigated. There are many different types of screening designs that can be used to minimize the number of runs required to investigate a large number of factors. The primary goal of a screening design is to find active factors that warrant further investigation. Because separating signal from noise can be difficult, choosing a method to analyze these designs is important. In this talk, we will demonstrate how to analyze various screening designs using automated validation techniques developed by Chris Gotwalt and Phil Ramsey. The focus will be on group orthogonal oversaturated designs (GO-SSD) and definitive screening designs (DSD). The presentation will show the results of the automated validation method compared to other techniques for analyzing these screening designs.
