We're thrilled to announce the redesign of InsideJMP, your go-to source for all things company news. This revamped platform is designed to provide you with a more streamlined and informative experience.
This update has been a long time coming. In March, we asked for your opinion and feedback on how you use InsideJMP, how you want to receive news, and what you'd like to see on an internal news site, and we took the responses seriously! The new site has been rebuilt by Marketing Manager Ryan Gilmore (@Ryan_Gilmore) and Senior Digital Designer Ryan Clare (@RyanClare).
On Monday, Sept. 16 (or maybe a little before that), you’ll notice a new look and feel to the updated channel.

What's new?
InsideJMP has always been your one-stop shop for company news, whether you're looking for the latest updates on projects and company initiatives, or simply want to connect with your colleagues. The sleek, refreshed look of InsideJMP takes what you’ve always relied on and makes it better. Here are some new things you’ll notice:
Find articles easily by filtering through new labels.Find articles easily by filtering through new labels.Redesigned Feature Story list: Bigger thumbnails will help you scan the home page and find the stories that interest you most.
- Enhanced filtering: News stories are no longer sorted into departmental folders. Sort by labels to easily find the stories that matter most to you.
- Events calendar: Stay up to date on company events, conferences, and social gatherings.
- Helpful Links: Can’t find what you’re looking for? It may be in the Helpful Links section.
- Get to Know: Discover the people behind our success through our new "Get to Know" section, featuring employee highlights and stories.
- Anniversaries and New Hires: Celebrate our team's growth with our Anniversaries and New Hires section.
- Announcement banner: Keep an eye out for a colored banner at the top of the page. It will alert you to any breaking news or time-sensitive updates.
Two new features include the internal events calendar and a Get to Know section to learn about your fellow colleagues. Two new features include the internal events calendar and a Get to Know section to learn about your fellow colleagues.
Changing with the times
Before InsideJMP was created, most of our company news came from the InsideSAS news channel. But since JMP had its own story to tell, InsideJMP was born. Its original goal was to be a place for divisional updates and announcements, plus be a repository for sharing JMP development and other work with our colleagues.
But as JMP has grown, the purpose and content of InsideJMP has evolved. It’s now the best place to find company news, celebrate the successes of colleagues across the hall or around the world, and see the progress JMP is making toward becoming a fully autonomous company.
The new design and organization of InsideJMP reflects that evolution, making it easier and more engaging to stay abreast of all things JMP.
Let us know what you think
Take a moment to explore the new site. Let us know in the comments if you have any suggestions for additional improvements or questions about where to find something. And remember, use the jmp.com/request button at the top of InsideJMP if you have an idea for a story.
If you can't find a link that was previously in the hamburger dropdown, it's probably in the Helpful Links section on the homepage. If you can't find a link that was previously in the hamburger dropdown, it's probably in the Helpful Links section on the homepage.
Looks great.
Nice work on the redesign @AllisonHines and team.
I'm looking forward to interacting with the new site.
Looks good, but... it was nice to see community discussion posts which summarized posts across SE discussions, Internal Wish List, Community Questions, etc... all in one place on the previous InsideJMP homepage. Having it on the homepage likely got more eyeballs on those posts and increased engagement. That seems to no longer be available on the new site.
Is there an option to show the "Inside JMP News" page in condensed form such as a list instead of the large image "card" view? It would be especially nice to see dates on articles as well.
@mzwald Aside from the news articles, most activity in the Community has shifted to Confluence. As a result, the focus of InsideJMP has changed to be more "news" and company oriented. As you noted, there are a few areas in InsideJMP that do maintain a decent level of engagement, which we do not want to lose. These areas tend to be specific to certain groups within JMP, e.g. SEs, Support, and not the company as a whole, which is why they were removed from the home page.
We'll monitor the level of activity and make adjustments if we see a significant decrease in activity.
One option would be to subscribe to the individual boards of interest to receive email notifications when new posts occur. If you choose to receive email notifications, there are ways to filter the messages to a specific Outlook folder for viewing at your convenience.
@jschroedl There is not an option to view the InsideJMP News page as a list but something that we can consider.
@Ryan_Gilmore Your explanation makes sense. That discussion centric view was likely of most value to the SE community. The nice thing about that view is it consolidates all useful discussions into one place. A feature request then would be to have a button on the InsideJMP homepage, that generates different views (personalities): ex. a view for SEs, a view for sales/marketing, a view for devs, etc... or at least a link to the old consolidated discussions.
The email option you mention is a good one, but with so many emails and email fatigue, it won't be as impactful.
