This study analyzed the results of a questionnaire administered to ensure the quality of medical care at a neurological clinic to obtain an overall understanding of the satisfaction of first-time patients.
In the first stage of this study, we clarified that selective two-sided causal analysis based on priority orientation can be applied when planning effective and efficient measures to maintain and improve first-time patient satisfaction. Based on this, we wanted to obtain a bird's-eye view of patient satisfaction in order to continue to maintain and improve it at our clinic. To achieve this, we used data collected thus far to restore causal items with a weak degree of influence that were not adopted in the selective two-sided causal analysis, and performed an analysis based on SEM (structural equation modeling).
The main causal items and the factors behind them selected in the selection-type two-sided causal analysis can be fitted to a certain degree in the SEM analysis. However, by adding causal items and their factors with a low degree of influence, the causal structure can be grasped more comprehensively, but the fit index deteriorates relatively.
In the future, we plan to use the results of this study to improve the goodness of fit index by conducting a new patient satisfaction survey in the process of approaching the original SEM. In this presentation, we will introduce the findings obtained through the series of analysis processes.
