Workflow Builder needs to capture button presses in reports

What inspired this Wish List Request?

Some JMP reports have features activated by pushing buttons in the reports themselves rather than from the red triangle menu. An example of this is the Manage Limits platform with buttons to "Load From Limits Table" and "Save to Column Properties".

Please describe the new or improved feature or solution you would like to see.

Workflow Builder should capture when a user performs a button press action. Currently WB returns this script:

dt << Manage Limits(
	Process Variables( Column Group( "Process Variables" ) )
);

When it should return this script instead:

obj = dt << Manage Limits(
	Process Variables( Column Group( "Process Variables" ) ),
	Load From Limits Table( dtLimits )
);
obj << Save to Column Properties;

What would the value be to you and/or other users if this new feature is provided?

Would require less manual edits to the scripts generated by WB.

Is this an external customer request?

Several customers have requested WB to capture actions outside of RTM's.

Is there a competitive software package that has this feature or solution that we should be aware of?

Will this impact a renewal, expansion, or adoption at a customer, and does this put an account at risk if we do not address this?

Thanks for posting this @Mark_Zwald! Setting up SPC monitoring via Workflow Builder is something that has caught on with several of my customers and something I demo a lot. It is especially powerful as a lead-in or precursor for introducing JMP Live.

To save spec limits to column properties, I must add a custom step (equivalent to Mark's code, also provided to me by @Jasean in Tech Support). My understanding is saving spec limits via Workflow Builder is captured in JMP-8860 (I don't have Jira access, so can't look). I highly endorse Mark's suggestion, and it sounds like a fix is in the works.

Additionally, I noticed recently that "Fill --> Replace Missing with Previous Value" and sequential recodes in "Recode Column Names" are not captured. "Replace String" does not get captured, nor does "Regex". I can submit something separate with an example of these, if @mia_stephens prefers.

Hello! "Load From Limits Table" and "Save to Column Properties" have been added to the action recorder in JMP 19, so WFB should capture this. Unfortunately, this needs to be done on a platform basis, so if there are any other specific examples of platforms and commands that should be added, please let us know.
