The month of May is an annual observance of Women’s Health led by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office. The goal is to empower women to make their mental and physical health a priority and to help build an ecosystem to support women along the way.
The SAS Recreation and Fitness Center and SAS International Connection employee inclusion group will host a panel celebrating women’s health and fitness on Wednesday, May 11, 12-1 p.m. ET. Mark your calendar to join!
You’ll hear from JMP’s own Qiana Eaglin (@Qiana_Eaglin), Manager of the Technical Writing team. During the pandemic, Qiana and her two kids worked out together by following YouTube videos. This was a special bonding time for her family, and it also helped reignite her fitness journey.
“Pre-Covid, I worked out regularly at the RFC,” said Qiana. “During the quarantine, I wanted to continue working out, while also doing things with my children so I invited them to join me. My son wasn’t as interested in workout videos, so he would only work out with me and my daughter occasionally. As a family, we would also play basketball and jump on his trampoline.”
Qiana also encourages women to carve out “me time” for focus and self-care.

Other panelists include:
Angie Massengill, Senior Associate Tax Specialist, personal trainer and golf enthusiast
Olga Harkola, Senior Manager, Services Delivery and Consulting and Pilates studio owner
Simone Bervig, Senior Content Marketing Specialist, yogi and psychology student
Celeste Cooper-Peel, Fitness and Wellness Manager who completed her Doctor of Neuropathy degree last year
